Auto car producers Renault, Skoda & Nissan will hike costs by upto Rs 50,000 from next year January 2016. These three companies have reported to hike costs of their individual models by upto 3% from the next year's first week of January 2016.
Nissan Motor India Managing Director said that the price increase is due to offset the rising input costs. The update of costs will soften the negative effect and offer the company some assistance with staying focused. Skoda will hike prices of its whole model by upto Rs 50,000 from January 2016 due to rising input costs. Skoda Auto India said in an announcement that the price increment will vary from 2% to 3% over the whole item portfolio. The new costs will be effective from 1st January 2016.
