BMW G310R is among the most anticipated motorcycle launches of 2016. It will be the first BMW motorcycle to be manufactured in India and along with the most affordable BMW bike offering to go on sale. The new BMW motorcycle has been revealed in the UK market priced at £4,290 which at current exchange rates converts to Rs 3.88 Lac in the Indian market. It is also interesting that the BMW G310R has been priced Rs 23,000 cheaper than the KTM 390 Duke in UK.
We must point out that import duties and tax structure is different in UK than India. we would like to think the BMW G310R will be estimated around Rs 2.2 to 2.5 Lac ex-showroom in the Indian market with a launch by October 2016.
BMW motorcycle was also recently testing in India without any camouflage. BMW G310R will be produced at TVS factory. The bike has been designed and developed by BMW Motorrad in Germany. German bikemaker selected TVS Motors to keep the production cost as low as possible to make it the cheapest BMW motorcycle on sale. BMW G310R features a 313cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder motor which producing 35PS of power and 28Nm of peak torque.
