Japanese auto Honda will recall 90,210 units of its car Honda City and multi-purpose car Honda Mobilio in India which is manufactured between December 2013 to July 2015 to replace fuel return pipe. The replace will affect just the diesel variations of the both models City and Mobilio in India.
Honda Cars India Ltd said it would review 64,428 units of diesel variations of Honda City and 25,782 units of diesel variations of Honda Mobilio in India to voluntarily replace the fuel return pipe of these vehicles.
HCIL said that There is a probability that in some of these auto cars, the fuel return pipe might turn out and prompting motor stoppage. The fuel return pipe and related parts will be recovered free of expense at HCIL dealerships crosswise over India from 19th December 2015.
HCIL had declared in September recall of around 2.24 Lac units of its premium sports utility vehicles - CR-V, Civic, City and Jazz to replace broken airbag inflators. German auto Volkswagen Group had declared a recall of 3,23,700 units over its three brands Audi, Skoda and Volkswagen in India in association to the emission test cheating scandal. It was the biggest recall of vehicles in India.
Following the time when car industry body SIAM had presented the intentional recall strategy for safety related issues, car makers have been recalling vehicles. Till now, more than 17.39 Lac vehicles have been recalled by different manufacturers in India.
