Lincoln showcased five vehicles at Auto China 2016. These vehicles included the all-new 10th generation Lincoln Continental. The new generation Lincoln Continental is set to go on marketing in USA in Fall 2016. It will be Lincoln’s fifth model to be launched in China when it goes on sale at the end of 2016.
The 10th generation Lincoln Continental is a full-size luxury sedan, isn’t situated on a rear-wheel drive platform. Lincoln used a stretched version of the Lincoln MKZ and the Ford Fusion’s front-wheel drive CD4 platform, instead of developing a new rear-wheel drive stage. All the new Lincoln exclusive 3.0 Litre twin-turbo V6 motor engine which is estimated to produce 400 HP. There is no transmission but reports recommend that Lincoln will offer a 9-speed automatic transmission.
Important features of the all-new Lincoln Continental consist of E-latch door turnout, Excellent Position Seats with 30-way adjustment, rear seats with resigning, heating and cooling functions along with 360-degree camera system. The 10th generation Lincoln Continental will be constructed at the Flat Rock Assembly Plant in Michigan in USA.
